Cynthia Addai-Robinson was born in London on January 12, 1985, the daughter of an American father and a Ghanaian mother.
She moved to Washington D.C. at age 4. There she studied at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring (Maryland) .
Her parents separated from her when she was little, thus she was raised by her mother alone from her.

She was interested in acting from a young age, starting with a summer camp at Carnegie Mellon University. From which she took classes in jazz, dance, and theater. She also loves to sing, which is why she would want to participate in a musical.
In high school, she performed a play based on Annie, and she already got the lead role.
After graduating from high school, she moved to New York to obtain a theater degree from the Tisch School of the Arts. In addition, she taught dance classes and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute.
Cynthia has certain knowledge of Spanish acquired in school and reinforced after months of filming in Mexico for Texas Rising.
