Early Life of Nina Dobrev:
Nina Dobrev moved with her family to Canada when she was 13 years old and has lived in Toronto ever since. Her name Nina comes from the contraction of the first and last syllable of her given name Nikolina, and her surname Dobrev is actually Dobreva, due to the fact that in Bulgaria, as in other Slavic-speaking countries, the family surname is female. the ending -a is added.
