Paula Maxine Patton (born December 5, 1975, Los Angeles, California, USA) is an American actress, famous for the films “Deja Vu“, “Mirrors”, “Treasure”, “Mission Impossible: Protocol Phantom” , “Two Barrels” and the role of Garona Half-Thorn in the movie “Warcraft”.

As a child, she lived with her family next to the 20th Century Fox studio. Her mother worked as a school teacher, her father was a lawyer. Paula graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles. Already during her studies, Patton began to play in school plays. She studied for some time at the University of Berkeley, and later entered the School of Motion Picture Arts at the University of Southern California.
Her diploma allowed her to work as an assistant director of documentaries produced by PBC for the Discovery Health Channel. From 2000 to 2002, she was the producer of the documentary series Medical Diaries. In 2004, Paula recorded additional vocals to Asher’s song “Can U Handle It?” from the album “Confessions“.
In 1991, in one of the clubs, Paula met the singer Robin Thicke, and in 1993 she began dating him. They got married on June 11, 2005. On April 6, 2010, the couple had a son, Julian Fuego Tick. On February 24, 2014, the couple’s separation was announced. On October 8, 2014, Paula officially filed for divorce and joint custody of her son. The divorce was finalized on April 14, 2015.
Paula began her acting career in 2005, starring in the films Filming Rules: The Hitch Method , London and The Murder Book. Her first success came after her role in the film “Deja Vu” (2006), in which she co-starred with Denzel Washington, and then was nominated for the Black Reel Awards 2007 in the category “Best Breakthrough“.
In 2008, Paula starred in the comedy “Sober” and the horror film “Mirrors” . In the 2009 film Treasure, she played Miss Blue Rain, the main character’s teacher , for which she received the Boston Society of Film Critics Award for Best Ensemble Actor and was also nominated for the Washington DC Area
Film Critics Association Awards “,” Black Reel Awards “,” Image Awards “,” Screen Actors Guild of the USA “and others. In 2010, Paula starred in Just Wright and an episode of Law & Order:Special Victims Unit. In 2011, she starred in the romantic comedy Wedding Trial, and then, together with Tom Cruise, starred in the action movie Mission Impossible: Phantom Protocol,
for which she was nominated for the Saturn, Teen Choice Awards ”and others. This was followed by roles in the films “No Connection” (2012), “Two Trunks” (2013), “Baggage Claim” (2013),
“What Happened Last Night” (2014). In 2015, Paula starred in the ABC pilot The Fugitive. In 2016, three films were released with her participation – “Warcraft“, “Ideal Choice” and “All over again”.
In 2017 she starred in the TV series “Somewhere in between”. In 2018 she played in the movie Traffic.
In 2019 she starred in the film “Four Children and It”.
