Robert John Downey Jr. (born April 4, 1965) is an American actor, producer and singer best known for his role in the Iron Man movie series as Iron Man / Tony Stark. His career was at its peak in his youth and since then he has faced legal hurdles and in his middle age he has achieved commercial success.
Donnie was born in Manhattan, New York and is the youngest of two children. His father Robert Downey Sr. is an actor, writer, producer, cinematographer and director, and mother LC is also an actress in the films of Donnie Sr. Has played the role.
His father is of half Russian Jewish and half Iranian descent and mother is of German and Scottish descent. Donnie began with plays that included the short-lived Broadway musical drama “American Passion” produced by Norman Laird at the Joyce Theater in 1943. In 1985, at the age of 20, Donnie worked on the weekly television humorous show Saturday Night Live but was fired in 1945 due to a change in characters.
