Sahibzada Irfan Ali Khan or Irfan Khan or just Irfan, (English: Irrfan Khan; January 7, 1967 – April 29, 2020) was an actor in Hindi films, television. He has also acted in a number of British and American films.

In a career spanning more than 30 years and appearing in more than 50 domestic films, Khan has won several awards, including the Film fare Award in four categories and National Film Awards were included. Film critics, contemporaries and other experts consider him one of the best actors in Indian cinema. In 2011, he was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian honor.

Personal Life:

Irfan was born on January 7, 1967 in Jaipur, Rajasthan to a Muslim family. Khan’s mother, Begum Khan, and his father, the late Jagirdar Khan, lived in the nearby village of Khajuria in Tonk district and ran a tire business.

Irfan and his best friend Satish Sharma excelled in cricket. And later, Irfan was promoted to CK for emerging players under the age of 23. Naidu was selected for the tournament, which was the first step in the history of cricket in India. However, he could not reach the tournament due to lack of funds.

He studied at the National School of Drama (NSD). On February 23, 1995, Irfan married Sutpa Sikdar. Sutpa also belongs to Rashtriya Naat Pathshala. They have two sons, Babylon and Ayan.

Professional Life:

Khan made his screen debut with a small role in “Salam Bombay (1988)”, after which he struggled for many years. After starring in the British film “The Warrior (2001)”, he achieved success with acting roles in the plays “Hasil (2003)” and “Maqbool (2004)”.

He was widely criticized for his roles in “Namesake” (2006), “Life in a … Metro” (2007) and “Pan Singh Tomar” (2011). Among them, he won the National Film Award for Best Actor for “Paan Singh Tomar”. By 2017, his films had grossed 64 3.643 billion worldwide at the box office. In 2018, Khan had a neuroendocrine tumor. On April 29, 2020, at the age of 53, died.

Death Reason:

In February 2018, Khan was diagnosed with an “unknown disease”, and it was speculated by many media outlets that he had “brain cancer”. After a lot of rumors, actor Irrfan went on his Twitter account and announced that he would share “his story” in “One Week – Ten Days” and forbade the media and fans to “speculate” about anything. On March 16, 2018, Khan announced in a Twitter post that he was suffering from a neuroendocrine tumor – a rare form of cancer that can target different parts of the body. He went to London for treatment.

He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on April 28, 2020, where he started treatment for colon infection. The next day, at the age of 53, he died in Jaipur (four days after his mother’s death) due to an infection. Many Bollywood celebrities, including actors Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Hassan, died.
