Shriya Saran (born 11 September 1982) is an Indian film actress. She began her career by acting in music videos, as well as attending an acting studio to fulfill her dream of becoming an artist. While debuting with Ishtam in 2001, he attracted the attention of Telugu cinema through his role in Bhanu in his first major hit Santosham in 2002.

Shriya Saran was born in Haridwar and spent most of her life in a small settlement in the foothills of the Shivalik mountain range. His father Pushpendra Saran worked for the state-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, while his mother Neerja Saran was a chemistry teacher at Delhi Public School,
where Shriya is a student. His elder brother Abhiroop Saran is four years older than him and currently works in FCB Meteor, an advertising company in Mumbai. He is married to Aarti, with whom Shriya considers her relationship “very deep”.
According to Shriya, as a child, he “kept his pocket money for a long time and donated it to the blind school”. When Shriya was 17, her family moved to Delhi, as she was keen to learn Kathak from the famous dancer Guru Shovana Narayan.

Professional Life:
Shriya got her first exposure to the camera when she was a second-year student at Delhi’s LSR College, which she dropped out to take part in the shooting. Shriya Saran first appeared on screen in Reenu Nathan’s twitching Keen Hawa music video, in which she got the opportunity to work on the recommendation of her dance teacher.
She gained popularity with videos filmed in Banaras, which led to Ramoji Films offering Neha the lead role in the film Ishaatam, starring and directed by debutant actors. Despite wanting to work in only one film, Shriya Saran gained immense popularity. Before the Ishtam was released, Shriya Saran made three big-budget films, Santhosham, Nuvve Nuvve and Tagore, respectively, with Nagarjuna, Tarun and Chiranjeev, the top stars of the film industry.
Shriya started her acting career in films with the Telugu film Ishtam (2001) produced by Usha Kiran Movies. His debut film failed to do well at the box office, but many Telugu producers and directors looked at him. Soon she did Nagarjuna’s Santosham (2002),

She made his debut in Tamil films with Enkku 20 Unakku 18 (2003) with Telugu actor Tarun, and Trisha Krishnan. The film was an average hit at the box-office, but A.R. She proved to be a particularly musical hit because of Rahman’s music.
